Frequently asked questions

Helpful answers before your visit.

When should I call during labor?

Call for regular painful contractions, leaking fluid, vaginal bleeding, decreased fetal movement, or any symptom your care team has asked you to monitor. If symptoms feel urgent, seek immediate medical care.

Can I discuss my birth preferences?

Yes. Prenatal visits are a good time to discuss your priorities, pain relief, support people, delivery scenarios, and what may change if safety concerns arise.

What happens after delivery?

Postpartum care includes monitoring recovery, bleeding, blood pressure, mood, feeding concerns, contraception, incision or perineal healing, and your overall well-being.
